Bring on the rock...!

Director's Dispatch No 6: by Chris Rafferty, Bowness on Solway

I have a surprise up my sleeve, which I think will go down well with the kids… an order for some traditional pink seaside rock.

It will be personalised, with the writing through the middle saying…

“DAZZLE - BOWNESS”

The label will reflect the main show poster, with the words:

“DAZZLE! Rock from Bowness on Solway”

I have supplied the rock company with the “Bastard” font used for Dazzle!

Just for once, the concept of healthy eating can be put to one side.

I have ordered sufficient for each child who comes to see one of the shows to receive a stick. Whatever is left we will sell.

We may be left with a shortfall, but it’s important to me that children have a really memorable experience when they come to the school to see a show.

One of the schools coming along is planning its Summer term work around the show.

Before half term I got a call from the teacher to supply more details about the show – its story and themes - so that she could develop her plans.
